PRIDGE, Ellaouise
Ellaouise Pridge 73 of Union Bay passed away peacefully on June 11, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox. Ellie was born Ellaouise Perry on April 27, 1933 in Springwater, Sask.
She moved to Calgary, Alberta with her family at the age of 7 until 1953, Then to Prince George, finally settling in Union Bay in 1985 where she met and married her soul mate Bill.
Ellie had many interests from cards, bingo, music to knitting baby clothes. She loved to go moose hunting with Bill every fall and also kept him company while he cut firewood. She had many special moments on her deck because of her love for the ocean, calling to Bill every time a beautiful cruise ship passed. Ellie was a member of the Highwayman’s Ladies Crib Club for many years and was also a member of The Pythian Sisters Union Temple # 12. She made many good friends along the way and will be dearly missed by them all.
With her new journey she leaves behind her loving husband Bill, her daughters: Robertta Dayton (Mike), Georgina Smith (Lyle), Margaret Shrives (Chris) and brother: Richard Coates (Janet); her grandchildren: RJ, Roger, Chad, Michael, Richie and Samantha. Great Grandchildren Corbin, Raven, Jade, Jaykob, Daarien, Justice, Makaylia, Mason and Mary. Her brother Bob (Lorraine) and many nieces, nephews as well as 6 step children, step-grandchildren, great-step-grandchildren and 3 special adopted sons: Nick, Ricky and John. Ellie was predeceased by her mother Sadie, father Percy, sister Elsie and brother Elwood.
