Ellen M. “Benny” COLLISON
1915 - 2005
Ellen passed away peacefully on May 22, 2005 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Comox. She was predeceased by her husband Reg in 1985. She is survived by her son Brian (Donna) and daughter Moira (Don), five grandchildren, Glen (Carol), Kelly (Joann), Patrick (Karen), Trevor and Janine, great grandchildren, Cody, Breanne, Brielle, Ayden and Samantha.
Before moving to the Comox Valley, Ellen was a well loved resident of Smithers, BC. Her intent was to live there for only a year but plans changed when she met and married her husband Reg. She remained there for fifty four years, working at the Smithers Hospital until her retirement. She was devoted to her family, enjoyed her garden and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial Service will be held on Monday May 30, 2005 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Piercy’s - Mt Washington Funeral Home, 440 England Avenue, Courtenay, with Chaplain Gordon Carter officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined; donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Bulkley Valley Lodge Society.
