TIMCKE, Elsie Linda (Winnig)
April 3, 1942 – March 27, 2011
Of Comox passed away quietly on the morning of March 27, 2011. Her Husband Albert and parents Annie and Richard Winnig predeceased her. Linda moved to the Comox Valley in 1945 with her family where they operated a dairy farm. This is where she met Albert. They married September 1, 1962. They raised four kids, all still live in the valley.
She is survived by her children Rick (Cindi), Sarilyn (Rick), Glenn and Carrie, and six grandchildren Ryan, Corrina, Cody, Joshua, James and Annalina, sister Anne Beckett (Salem, Oregon), brother Richard Winnig (Prince George) and many nieces and nephews. She was a long time member of the Women’s Institute.
An open house will be held on Saturday afternoon, April 2, 2011 between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm at the home of Rick Timcke – 1059 Thorpe Ave in Courtenay, BC.
