Boyd - Elsie Marion, passed away August 22nd, 2004 at St. Joseph’s General Hospital, Comox. Born in Vancouver on August 11th, 1922, she is survived by her husband, Charles E. Boyd; daughters Marie Marsh and Donna Leslie (Ian); brother Stanley “Short” Pebernat and wife Shirley, all of Courtenay; brother Wesley and wife Beryl Pebernat of Celeste, BC; as well as many grand and great grandchildren; sister-in-law Rhoda Pebernat of Comox, and brother-in-law Pat Madigan of Taylor, BC. Elsie was predeceased by 2 brothers and 5 sisters. She had lived in the Comox Valley for over 60 years, was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 17, Courtenay and the Senior’s Bowling League. in her leisure, Elsie enjoyed flowers, her garden, camping, fishing, and a good game of crib or solitaire. A gathering of family and friends in celebration of her life will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 27th at the Valley Vista Clubhouse, 4714 Muir Road, Courtenay.
