“Take Care of Each Other”

It is easy to forget how important the little things are as we rush through our busy lives. In the end, rich or poor, it is the caring things that we do for each other that will be most treasured after our friends and family pass on.

Each time I read an obituary I wonder about the person who died and feel grateful that it was not me or any of my loved ones.

Elvi reminds us to count our blessings and to do now the things that you plan to do some day soon. There will come a time all too soon that you will wish that you did what you can not do now.

The best of times are the times that we spend together. Elvi loved a great joke, a beautiful flower, the colour blue, and her family.

Many thanks to all the home care workers who brought her daily cheer, to Dr. Law for his many years of excellent care, and to her neighbours who always kept an eye out for her.

Kathy, Gerry and Jess miss her a lot and will have a private family celebration of her life.
