Ernest was born at Ambleside, England on May 10, 1939 and passed away in Comox on November, 10, 2016. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Dorothy, and his many friends, neighbors and those of various clubs to which he belonged and contributed. Ernie emigrated to Canada in 1965 and moved to Prince George where he met his wife, Dorothy, whom he married in 1968. From there, over the next 48 years, they moved to Kamloops and later to the Comox Valley. Sailing, fishing and gardening were Ernie’s favourite pastimes. His working life included trades work and sales in life insurance and real estate. Thanks go out to Ruth Sands (Dorothy’s sister) and husband Michael, and Ernie and Dorothy’s friends and neighbors for all of their great support and love. A celebration of Ernie’s life will take place on December 6 at 3.00 PM at the Comox Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ernie’s memory to charity of one’s choice.
