Rachuk - Ernest John “Ernie” of Courtenay, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 22nd, 2006. Predeceased by his father Peter and sister Dianne, he is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving wife of nearly 49 years, Faye; son Sheldon (Sylvia), daughter Dawn and son Scott (Carol); grandchildren: Alison, Bradley, Michelle, Shannon, Kristen and Julia; sisters: Shirley, Doreen and Dallas; his mother Betty; as well as nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends in Celebration of his life took place from COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD on Tuesday, June 27th at 11:00am. Fellowship and refreshments followed in the “Garden Room and Outdoor Patio” of the funeral home.
