Ethel (Babs) M. Rodwell
Ethel was born in London, England on June 16,1924 and passed away June 17, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Ethel came to Courtenay in 1948 and worked for 35 years for the Dept. of Highways, spent many hours as a volunteer with the Royal Canadian Legion, Pythian Sisters, Evergreen Seniors Centre. She was always a very helpful, giving, kind person to all, and she dearly loved her family and friends. Ethel was predeceased by her parents Albert and Nellie Rodwell and her sister Hilda.
She will be forever loved and missed by her nephew David (Patty) Sprout and his children, son David, daughter Brandie (Don) Hunter and their children Brittney, Shaylee and Alicia and special friend Ellen.
A service will take place on Friday, June 24 at 10:30am at Courtenay Civic Cemetery with a reception to follow at 1:00pm.
The family would like to thank the hospital staff on the 2nd Floor.
