ETHEL MARGARET HOWARTH
January 31, 1922 - March 9, 2009
It is with great sadness the family of Margaret Howarth announce her passing on March 9th. Margaret passed away peacefully at home in Courtenay. She was predeceased by her husband Tom in 2005. Margaret is survived by her daughters: Lynn Scott (Jim) of Courtenay, Dodie Corsi (Barry) of Lac la Hache, Betsy Buckland (Bob) of Lac La Hache, B.C., four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Margaret and Tom moved to Lac La Hache in 1950 and loved their life in the Caribou, camping and fishing at the many small lakes. In 2005 when Tom died, Margaret moved to Courtenay to live with her daughter, Lynn and son-in-law, Jim Scott. She spent a happy three and a half years in Courtenay attending concerts, soccer and basketball games, going on picnics, trips to the beach, walks around the airpark and long drives with her caregiver/companion, Iris Forster.
A Celebration of Margaret's life will be held in the Caribou at a later date. Margaret will be sadly missed by family and the many others who knew and loved her.
