Born in Saskatchewan Canada. Ethel lived at Casa-Loma, here in the Comox Valley for 9 years. She sadly passed away in hospital at the age of 99, just short of her 100th birthday.
She went peacefully with her grandson Billy and his wife Dee by her side. The second oldest of six children.
She is survived by her brother Al Thompson (wife Pat), daughter Valerie Cookson, grandson Bill Sugden who she called Billy (wife Dee) their children Tray, Billy Jr, Tony; granddaughter Leandra Cookson (John), niece Beverly Waugh (husband Doug) and many other nieces and nephews.
We are a big loving family, so many will miss grandma dearly; her final wish was no service, grandma wanted people to remember her as she was.
We will remember her unconditional love and kindness.
Her smile and loving way, will stay with us all forever.
