Maureen passed away peacefully at Glacier View Lodge, with her Glacier View Family by her side.
Maureen was pre-deceased by her husband Glen, parents Walter and Alyce Barber, nephew Kevin Barber. Also, her best friend Sammy, the little white dog, and her constant companions, her cats Billy, Belle, and Walker.
Maureen is survived by her brother Harry Barber (Teo), in Jasper Alberta. Nephew Mike, niece Lisa.
Sister Lorraine Runnells (Ron) in Comox, B.C.
Sister Donna Buck (Tom) in Washington State.
Heartfelt Thank You's go out to all those who Loved and Cared for Maureen, the Comox Valley Home Support staff, the Larche Community, Maureen's Faith Community, the neighbours on Birch/ Balsam. Cheryl. Arni.
I wish I could Thank every one of you personally and tell you how you made Maureen's life so much better.
Not enough "Thank You's" could ever be said to the Exceptional Staff at Glacier View Lodge. They took such good care of Maureen for the last four years. From nurses, to care aides, to activities staff, to support staff, they all had Maureen's best interests in their hearts.

Maureen is now resting very peacefully beside Glen in Courtenay Civic Cemetery. Together again.
