Vachon - Fernand, of Comox, died January 3rd, 2003 at St. Joseph’s General Hospital. Born in Ottawa, Ontario on June 8th, 1922, he is survived by sons: Ronald (Mary) of Nanaimo, and Bruce of Sointula; daughter Fern (David) of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia; granddaughters: Colleen (Shane) and Carol (Shannon), both of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; great granddaughters: Emily and Sara of Dartmouth; his sister Rolande of St. Pierre De Wakefield, Quebec; and brother Horace of Hamilton, Ontario. Fern was predeceased by his wife Yvonne; brothers: Germaine and Ernest; sister Reina; and his parents Renee and Bernadette. Prayers were offered from Christ The King Roman Catholic Church on Sunday, January 5th, followed by Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 6th with Father Joe Killoran, Celebrant.
