April 8, 1936 - January 11, 2021
Frances Ann Colbow, aged 84, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2021 at Hospice at the Views in Comox, BC. Ann was predeceased by her daughter Heather Hagg, sister Joan Adey, and parents Frank and Lorna Adey. Leaving behind to mourn her passing are her daughters Barb Varney (Al) and Donna Scott (Bob), grandson Shane Varney (Jenn), great-grandchild Nerys, brother David Adey (Gayle), sisters Linda Lefley (Fred) and Lorna Hutton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ann loved her horse Teddy, and he took her on many competitive trail rides. Together they won a few trophies. In her spare time, Ann enjoyed her garden, playing bridge and travelling. She was a strong hard-working woman who was also generous, helping many people in need.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Ann's memory to the Comox Valley Hospice would be appreciated.
Thank you for the support of family and friends, especially Dave and Gayle, Linda, Vicki and Nancy for all the visits, outings and the special things you did for Mum. Thank you to the staff at Comox Valley Senior's Village for their many years of care.
We are so grateful as well for the compassionate care Mum received from Comox Valley Hospice. The staff are an incredible team, and a special thank you to Dr. Bakshi for his care, kindness and patience.
