It is with sad hearts that the family announces the passing of Fred Richard Jones on June 26, 2016 in Cumberland, B.C. Fred is predeceased by his brother Arvid. He is survived by his wife Shirley May Jones; sons Richard, Tyson (Heather) and Ron (Nicole); daughters Leanne Jones (Shane), Cheryl Burroughs (Neil), Lisa and Arlene; grandchildren Shelby, Kristina, Victoria, Seirra, Blake, Aaron, Gillian, Carter, Rebekkah and Addison; great grandchildren Nolan, James and Kayda, his brother Warner and sisters Melody (Vern) and Myrna.
Fred belonged to Radio Canada and worked for the Fields Sawmill in Courtenay.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016 from Cumberland Legion, 2770 Dunsmuir Ave, from 2-5PM.
