Frederick Winstone
December 15, 1940 - May 20, 2009
Passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox, B.C. He was predeceased by his parents Winstone and Nellie Powell and his sister Lorna MacLeod-Hicks. Fred leaves to mourn his sisters Reta Malcolm and Pat Hastings (Don) of Courtenay, B.C. as well as his nieces and nephews; Shane Hastings (Patty) of Ontario, Cary Hastings (Lori) of Ontario and Mishell Parsons (Les) of Courtenay, B.C. Fred retired from Rivtow Straits in 2005 after a long career as a deckhand. He was a quiet, reserved loving man who enjoyed camping and trout fishing. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Fred’s memory would be appreciated.
