Reed passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Wednesday, February 22, surrounded by his loving family.
Reed is survived by his loving wife Connie, son Ross (Betty Ann) in Winnipeg, 2 daughters Laura (Daryl) Beck in Campbell River, Kathy (Bob) Andrews in Powell River. Stepson Rob Gossen in Victoria, step-daughter Dana (Ian) Fraser in Cobble Hill; 7 grandchildren: Jacob (Carol), Melissa, Sarah, Stacey (Graeme), David, Robbie & Heather; 1 great-grandchild, Amber; 2 brothers Gordon (Phyllis) in Utah, Howard (Dorothy) in Cardston, Alberta.
Reed was a veteran and a legion member of 59 years. He and Connie moved to the Comox Valley in 1991 for retirement. Reed had owned and operated a garage & major car dealership in Powell River for 25 years. Cars were his passion. He took great pride in having the shiniest car in town.
His family and many many friends will sadly miss him. Special thanks to Dr. Reggler and all those nurses who did such a wonderful job in our time of need.
