With much sadness, we announce the passing of our father, brother, grandfather and loyal friend. Garry Allan Clark. He died peacefully on August 24, 2017 at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Garry was born in Comox, BC on October 2, 1950 and spent his childhood in Cumberland, BC. He joined the logging industry in his teens and eventually settled in Sayward, BC, where he built a house and raised his family. He remained in Sayward until his passing.

He was predeceased by his mother Eva Clark, father Lewis Clark, brother Arnold Clark, brothers-in-law George Hipwell and Archie Ferguson, and nephews Gordon Clark and Daryll Clark. He is survived by his sons Jeff (Brandy) and Barry (Sarah), granddaughters Shayla, Chelsey and Jordyn, brothers Gordon (Grace) and Bob (Linda), sisters Margret Hipwell, Betty Ferguson, Judy (Bill) Bowen, Elsie (Seig) Kussauer and Linda (Bruce) Tobacca, sister-in-law, Patti Clark, special lady Mailin Dean, of Cambodia, and many nieces and nephews.

All of Garry's working years were spent logging, the majority of this time working as a feller/bucker in Kelsey Bay. He loved the outdoors, enjoying many hours hunting and fishing. He always looked forward to his annual moose hunting trip with his brother Gordon. He liked to keep busy woodworking in his shop, making beautiful items to give to family and friends. Garry loved carpentry, becoming known as a perfectionist on all his projects. He travelled extensively throughout Asia, spending much time in Cambodia with his partner, Mailin.

Garry was a kind, thoughtful and caring person, generously giving his time to help others. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who asked for his help, and many others who never needed to even ask. Garry had a wild and jolly sense of humour. He delighted in playing tricks and jokes on his friends and family, or telling outrageous stories just to see if he could make you believe him. We could always count on Garry to provide some laughs.

We will all remember that special twinkle in his eye and the smile on his face. He will be deeply missed by family friends and former logging buddies.

At Garry's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
