Sep 23, 1948 – Mar 21, 2018
Gary began his life in the small town of Horsefly, BC where he also began his career as a logger.
Retiring and moving to the Comox Valley in 1997 he started to draw and paint. He met a local artist who saw great potential in his artwork, revealing an intuitive understanding that was well above average. With this encouragement he devoted his time and passion to creating beautiful works of art through painting, stone work and carving.
During this time Gary also discovered his spiritual home – Unity Comox Valley. He served many roles and was involved in every aspect of the operations of Unity. He generously shared his profound love of nature and animals, his Cherokee wisdom, his attention and his broad smiles.
The Celebration of Life service will be held in the Lion’s Den in Comox on Saturday, April 21 at 10:30 am.
In appreciation for the role Unity played in Gary’s life, the family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Unity Comox Valley, PO Box 3518, Courtenay, BC V9N 6Z8
