George Anderson
May 30, 1932 – February 8, 2008
George passed away quietly with his family at his side after losing a courageous battle with cancer.
He will be missed terribly by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Doreen, his four children and their spouses: Lynda (Christopher di Armani), Shirley (Guy Hahn), Lloyd (Joyce Drupsteen), Susan (Graham York), his grandchildren and their spouses: Tim Jantz (Megan), Guin (Dave Howes), Jessica (Ben Docksteader), Jon Palen (Norma) and Brittany Denny; brother Ernie (Margaret), sister Karen (Ron Tucker) and sister-in-law Lena.
George is pre-deceased by his parents Clarence and Amy, his brother Andy, sister Leona and Amy. George will also be sadly missed by his many
friends, fishing and curling buddies.
George was known for his incredibly giving and generous spirit, and was always ready to give anyone a helping hand.
He was highly respected in his trade (electrician) and he excelled at whatever he put his mind and heart to. He was an avid gardener, mechanic and jack-of-all-trades. His wit and charm won the hearts of all who had
the pleasure of his company.
Please join us to remember the life of this wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend on Saturday February 16, 2008, 2pm at Piercy's Funeral Home, 440 England Avenue, Courtenay, B.C.
The family would like to acknowledge the extraordinary care and compassion of Dr. Reggler and the health-care nurses who attended to George through the last month of his illness.
We also wish to thank all our friends for their loving support in our time of need. Special thanks to Dave and Linda Burkard, Gordon and Alice Moore, and John Torry.
