George passed away peacefully in St. Joseph’s Hospital on January 31st, 2006 in his 86th year, beloved husband of the late Eileen A. Rispin (2002) and Hermie Rispin (1978). Cherished father of Susan and her husband Frank Cuvaj of Burlington, Ontario, Rosemarie Perrier of Comox and the late Douglas Rispin (1984). Proud grandfather of Diane (Rick), David, Andrew (Shannon), Katie (Kevin), Amy, Matthew, Ben and Cole; and great-grandfather to Sean.
Service of Remembrance will be held at Piercy’s Funeral Home, 440 England Avenue, Courtenay on Saturday, February 4th, 2006 at 11:30 am with his friend Duke Warren officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Canadian Cancer Society.
