George Eric King (87) of Courtenay, BC passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the North Island Hospital Comox Valley after a lengthy illness.
He was born on May 28, 1930 in Vermilion, Alberta and moved to Courtenay as a young teenager.
In 1954 he married Lois Hammell and together they had two children, Colleen and Tim; they divorced many years later. He was a member with the Fraternal Order of Eagles for many years and always enjoyed attending their annual lunches.
George was a caring individual with a kind soul. He is survived by his children (spouses), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as his partner of twenty-seven years Wendy Queen. He was predeceased by his parents and all of his seven siblings.
Our sincere thanks to Dr. Gray, Dr. Cohen and all the nurses and care givers at the North Island Hospital Comox Valley.
Your care and compassion will always be remembered.
At George’s request there will be no service.
