Chip passed peacefully at the Views in Comox on December 12, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Beverly Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife Donna Wilson, son Christopher (Moriah), daughter Joanna (Jason) Drinkle; step-daughters Margot Leger (David), Lori Barnes (Ken) and Caryn Hassard (Jim); grandchildren Kassia, Keegan, Layton, Braydon, Jayna, Kaylie, Emily, Sydney, Jaime, Justin and Hayley.

Chip graduated from the University of Washington. He worked for BA Oil Gulf and later Petro Canada in wholesale marketing in Calgary. Chip retired at age 55. He moved to Courtenay in 1996 to pursue golfing and enjoyed 'Happy Hour' with many good friends. In his teenage years, he was avid Rugby player. He was a gregarious man with a good sense of humor. Chip and Donna were high school sweethearts who reunited and married 30 years later.

Chip was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Chip's life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29th at 2 pm at Crown Isle Clubhouse.
