1928 ~ 2004
George was born on August 4, 1928 in Vancouver, BC and passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox, BC on May 4, 2004 at age 75.
He is predeceased by his parents William and Rose Dodge, nephew Kelly Dodge and by brothers Clifford and Raymond Dodge.
George will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Vera; daughter Diana (Louis) Cyr; sons: James (Joan) Dodge, and John Dodge; grandchildren: Shawn (Jillian) Cyr, Michael (Nadine) Cyr, Trisha, Tammy, Robert and Angela Dodge; great-granddaughter Jessica Cyr; brothers: Donald (Shirley) Dodge, and Melvin (Bonnie) Dodge; and by his many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
George will always be remembered for his love of family, friends and fishing and for his unwavering love for the Lord.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, May 11, at 2:00 pm in the Courtenay Fellowship Baptist Church on Lake Trail Road with Pastor Peter Rabey officiating.
