BUCHANNON - Gerald Lloyd, of Cumberland, passed away on June 12, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Nakina, Ontario on July 6, 1950.

Gerry came to the Island summer of 1972 and lived most of his life in Cumberland. He worked with Otto as a swamper and worked with a roofing company. He then went to work in many locations as a Rock Driller which he loved to do. On his days off he loved to party with his many friends. Gerry loved to play crib and cinch and loved to play pool, which he played lots over the years at the Waverley and Cumberland Hotels. Those were his stomping grounds. In 2006 Gerry had taken sick with lung disease. He gave it a good fight but on June 12, 2009 Gerry's lungs couldn't take it anymore and with his family by his side Gerry peacefully passed away.

Predeceased by his father Sherwood, mother Ann, brother Kenny, and niece Heather, all of Nakina, Ontario.
