Gerald James Campbell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gerald James Campbell on November 2, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Comox, B.C. Gerald passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer at the age of 76. Predeceased by his mother, Olga Campbell and his father Joseph Campbell, Gerald is survived by his partner Michael, sister Jane, niece Tammy (JD), nephews Michael (Kim), PJ, Linda and many more great nieces and great nephews. Gerald was born in Neepawa, Manitoba on July 5, 1938. Gerald moved to Nanaimo in the mid sixties, then to Courtenay in the early seventies, to be half owner of Pilon Tool Rentals from 1972 until his passing. Gerald had a great love of cars, travel and his garden. Gerald always took great pride in having a beautiful automobile. One of his passions in life was Palm Springs, where he spent many a holiday with his partner, Michael. Gerald had a very full life, enriched by family, great friends and neighbors. Gerald was a kind, outgoing, generous man, who was loved by all that were fortunate to have known him. Gerald will be remembered as a true gentleman. A private celebration of Gerald’s life will be held at a later date. If friends so wish, donations in memory of Gerald can be made to a charity of your choice.
