LAWRENCE, Geraldine Elaine
1920 - 2010
Quietly passed into the arms of her GOD, on the 9 October 2010, at the age of 90 fruitful years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Stanley J. Lawrence on the 18 November 1990, and her parents Beatrice (Jones) and Caleb Vernon Dando. Geraldine, was also predeceased by her brother Caleb Vernon Dando Jr. Geraldine was a native daughter of Cumberland B.C. and came into this world, on 5 May 1920, and lived in the Village for most of her long and meaningful life. She also leaves, to mourn her passing, two cousins Marge Cox of Newhall, California and Sharon Baker of Medford, Oregon, USA.
Geraldine and Stan had, which most people would acknowledge, the longest and most loyal courtship, in the history of Cumberland and were married in 1977 and lived happily ever after in Cumberland. Geraldine and Stan had no offspring, but, Geraldine unofficially adopted all of her numerous friends as her children and loved them dearly.
Geraldine, also loved and cherished all animals and was a great supporter of the B.C. S.P.C.A. and she also was a staunch supporter of the United Church of Cumberland.
We believe, Geraldine's "Goal in life..., was to be the kind of person her God thought she was, and we can be assured, that His gain is our loss."

There will be no funeral service by Geraldine's request, however, there was a Memorial Service in honor of her at the Cumberland United Church on October 23.
