Glen G. Magoon
1932 - 2006
He passed away suddenly, but peacefully at his home in Comox B.C. on Saturday, October 7th, 2006 at the age of 74.
He was predeceased by his brother Vern, and in 2000 the love of his life, his wife Lucille.
He is survived by and will be dearly missed by his son, Roger Magoon (Bernadette Miller) or Arnprior, Ontario; daughter Marilyn (Richard) Fulton of Comox, B.C. and his granddaughters Jen, Kate, Aisling, Ciara (Ontario), Pamela and Nicole (Comox, B.C.), who were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his sisters Vivian, Vernetta, Hazel and his brother Melvin, all of B.C. and many nieces and nephews.
Glen joined the RCAF in 1956 and served with the military until 1978. He was fortunate to have been stationed at several bases including St. Hubert, Quebec, North Bay, Ontario, Germany, Petawawa, Ontario and finally Holberg, B.C. where he retired from the military to work in the logging industry in Holberg as a CAT operator. He retired once again in 1997 and moved from Holberg to the Comox Valley. Glen had a passion for wood working and loved to make beautiful gifts for his family and friends.
Memorial service to be held at Comox Valley Funeral Home, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay, B.C. on Tuesday, October 17th, 2006 at 1:00p.m.
