Gloria touched the lives of many people and will be remembered always in the hearts of her family and friends.
Born in 1937 in Wakaw, Saskatchewan, she moved west with husband Al in the early 1960s, settling in Courtenay. They raised a family of 3 children, Debra, Roberta and Darwin. They were also blessed with 3 grandchildren, Chris, Caitlin and Josh.
Known best to many Valley residents for her amazing Saskatoon Berry Pie! She shared her love of baking along with a joke or a kind word and a ready smile as a vendor at the Farmers Market for many years.
She found comfort in her faith and enjoyed singing in the church choir.
Her family sends love, light and blessings to a beautiful soul. A memorial mass will be celebrated for Gloria on Friday August 2nd at 9 am at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Courtenay.
