Our Mum Cynthia was born in Guernsey, The Channel Islands and her father, being an officer in the Royal Engineers moved a great deal. Cynthia grew up in a variety of places, Bermuda, England; St. Malo, France; Enderby & Victoria, B.C. She loved gardening, animals, painting, ceramics, friendships, travel, hiking in the mountains and walking the beaches, but above all she loved her family. Her husband Phillip predeceased her in 1992 and she is survived by her children: Michael, Harry, Robin & Stephen and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Dr. Green and the ECU Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital for the loving care they gave her in the last year of her life. A Memorial Tea will be held at a later date in Courtenay and her ashes will be scattered in Kokanee Glacier Park.
