Dec 17, 2017
We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Grant Pierre Williams, age 67, on December 17, 2017 at his home in Fanny Bay.

Grant was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. At age 3, his family moved to Port Alberni and then later to Courtenay where he graduated from Courtenay High.  He went on to pursue his career as a rodman and became a proud member of Ironworkers Union, Local 97.  He retired from his trade after 30 hard, long years.

Grant had an infectious laugh and a wicked sense of humour which rounded out his warm and outgoing personality.  He was a very proud and compassionate Canadian and thoroughly enjoyed sharing this sentiment whenever he spoke of any and all accomplishments.

Grant will be lovingly remembered by his partner, Mary Batty; son Shane (Danielle) and proud grandfather to Baylee and Annastacia of St. George, Utah; son Greg of Seattle, Washington; and daughter, Nichole of Victoria, B.C; his mother, Alma; brother Reg; sisters Juanita and Dawn (Bill) Borland as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many, many friends.

Although gone, he will be in our hearts forever.  Rest in peace.

Please join us in remembering Grant by visiting our memorial at www.piercysmtwashingtonfuneral.com. A celebration of Grant's life will be announced at a later date.
