HARRIS

H.H. (Custy)

Born November 5, 1927 in Coalhurst, Alberta, passed away August 4, 2008 at home in Fanny Bay, BC, after a long battle with cancer. He worked forty years in the construction business, many places in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan before retiring in 1986.

He is survived by his wife Diana of fifty-seven years, one daughter Debra Lee and her husband David Roth of Campbell River; four grandsons: Shea (Danette), Arlen (Charlotte), Brendan (Theresa) and Tanner; also four great-grandchildren: Jessica, Brooke, Ryder and Liam.

He also leaves four brothers: Elwood Lewis "Hardy" (Nona) of Creston, BC, Stanley Ira "Ban" of Fort St. John, John James "Coog" (Annetta) of Prince George and David of Cranbrook, BC; also many, many nieces and nephews.

Custy was a member of Sunnydale Golf Club and did most of his golfing with a group of great guys known as "The Rat Pack". He was an avid fisherman and spent many enjoyable hours out in his boat.

You could best describe Custy as a gentle giant who had a great sense of humor, and was respected and admired by those who knew him. He was passionate about his family, and loved us all dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and posted in the local papers.

In lieu of flowers, if you wish, a donation to your favorite charity may be made in his memory.

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
