July 24, 1939 – January 27, 2010


Hank passed peacefully at home after a courageous cancer battle, his beloved wife Marguerite “Grete” at his side.


Predeceased by his son Derek, Hank is survived by his wife, son

Ted, “grandchildren” Michael and Courteny, brother Jack (Alberta), sisters Ann, Betty, Jean, Mary, Elsie, Dodie, mother-in-law Kay, and sisters-in-law Joan (Martin) and Marlene as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.


Hank was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and later relocating to the Comox Valley in 1980. He is well known as a hockey player and sports enthusiast, and also in the construction industry leaving a legacy of beautifully designed homes and buildings.

No service will be held as per request. Grete and Ted wish to invite all to a “social” in Hanks honor, Friday February 5th at the Pier Pub (upstairs) between 3-6 p.m.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Palliative Care.
