Harold Graham Neville

July 28, 1933- May 15, 2014

It is with great sadness we announce that Hal passed away peacefully at Casa Loma with his family by his side. He was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba and from there his family moved to Ocean Falls, B.C. where his father worked in the mill and went to school. He was a good basketball player and an accomplished swimmer, entered in the British Empire Game trials in 1952. He joined the RCAF and trained as an Airframe Technician. He was posted to Trenton and then did a tour in Germany, back to Trenton and then to Cold Lake, Alberta where he and Terry were married and where Laurie was born. After nine years he had his final posting to Comox and then retirement. Hal is survived by his daughters, Laurie (Jamie) and Brenda (Paul) and grandchildren Katlyn (Brett), Aaron, Ryan, Matthew and Josh.

Predeceased by his parents Harold and Lillian Neville, his brother Bill Neville and his nephew Michael Neville.

In his earlier years Hal loved to fish (trout and salmon) and had several boats. He was a great dancer and went dancing at the Mex or Legion anytime he could. He had a great sense of humor and was a very social person. He loved his cats and in his later years it was his cat Ralphie. The family wishes to thank the staff at Casa Loma for their assistance and Dr. Swanson during his last years.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 23rd, 2014 at 3:00pm at the Courtenay Legion #17, upper hall, 367 Cliffe ave, Courtenay.
