It is with great sadness that the family of Harold Harvey Holst announces his passing, after a brief illness, on Friday, April 17, 2015, at the age of 77 years.
Harold will be lovingly remembered by his sister Merceda (Albert) Posehn and his sister Anita (Al) Becker. Harold was predeceased by his sisters Irene and Clara, and his brothers Raymond, Clarence, Martin, Albert, Johnny, Cliffe and Jake. Harold will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Harold was born on November 1, 1938 and raised in the Comox Valley area. He enjoyed his occupation as a logger in the Gold River area for many years. In his retirement years, Harold enjoyed working around his home and nurturing his cherished begonias. He was a loyal friend to many and will truly be missed.
A celebration of Harold's life will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Comox Valley Funeral Home, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay with Mr. Fred Massey officiating. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Courtenay Civic Cemetery.
