Harold James
February 1, 1915 - July 12, 2008
Harold passed away peacefully at Yucalta Lodge, Campbell River, on Saturday, July 12th, 2008 at age 93.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret, his son William Roach, and his brother Ernie Welsh.
He is survived by his sons Arnold (Christine) Welsh, Harvey (Daphne) Welsh, and Lawrence (Audrey) Welsh, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, sister Helen Yost, brother Pat (Miriam) Welsh, together with numerous nieces and nephews, Harold was a longstanding member of the Knights of Pythian. In his later years he was an accomplished bowler who would often win at 5 pin bowling. He would enjoy his morning drives to the spit in Campbell River.
Harold was a great father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed and remembered by all. Special thank you to the nursing staff at Yucalta Lodge and Dr. Douglas and his niece Trudi Garratt for there kind and sensitive care.
A Celebration of Harold's life will take place on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008 at 1:00 pm. From Elk Falls Funeral Cremation and Reception Centre, Elk Falls Memorial Cemetery, highway 28, at General Hill, Campbell River.
