February 7, 1926 - August 26, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Harold Leslie (BUD) Davies who left us peacefully with his family at his side on August 26th. He was a wonderful husband, well loved father, grandfather and favourite uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Bud was born in North Battleford, Sask, February 7, 1926 to Thomas and Margretta (Evans) Davies, the youngest of nine children. He is survived by his loving family - wife, Kaye, daughters Karen Field (Shane), Tracy Davies (Maris), grandsons Graham Venechuk, Carson Venechuk (Jen), sister Evelyn, many nieces and nephews, and extended family in Wales. He was predeceased by his sisters, Marguerite, Dorothy, Esther, and Iris, brothers Stanley, Ralph and Lloyd.

Bud joined the RCNR during the war, serving on Corvettes in the North Atlantic. He found his forever home in Comox over 70 years ago. Bud worked at various jobs, floor laying being his main occupation. He served as a Comox Volunteer Fireman for many years and was a long standing member of the Comox Legion. He was an avid sportsman - fishing at King Coho Resort were some of his and the family's most cherished memories. In his retirement he enjoyed camping, travelling south, and cruising. In his latter years Bud was most content... enjoying his backyard bird watching, especially his hummers, reading and sometimes rereading some of his favourite books, keeping up to date on the latest news and weather on TV and enjoying visits to the Casino.

Very special thanks to Dr. Trevor Shoesmith, and the wonderful nursing staff at the North Island Hospital.

There will be no service by request.

Bud was a good man, a true friend, always quick with the quips and a "Prince of a Man" to his family.

Well done BUD - A life well-lived - Until we meet again.
