It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother and friend. Helen Margaret Williams (nee Reeve) was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, as one of three children.
She left her job as an Air Canada flight attendant to marry Air Force navigator, Fred Williams, on October 20, 1962. Due to Fred's military career, they had the opportunity to live all over Canada and even in Germany. Helen thoroughly enjoyed being part of the close knit Air Force community and maintained those close relationships throughout her life.
Helen was an avid traveller, bridge player, antiques collector and reader. But spending time with her family and friends was her top priority, and her warm friendship was her true gift to those lucky enough to know her.
Helen leaves behind her husband Fred, her son Mark (Lydia), as well as a large extended family in Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg.
She was predeceased by her brothers Jack (Jackie) and David Reeve.
We will miss her fun, energetic presence and will carry her in our loving memory.
We would like to thank the Nurse Next Door caregivers (especially Christina Harris) who tended to Helen in the last couple years - they were a daily comfort.
As per Helen's wishes, there will be no funeral service.
