Henry George William BOOL
August 26, 1909 – September 25, 2002
Dad died peacefully in his sleep at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, moved to Nanaimo at the age of 1 and moved to Courtenay in 1938 where he was the Standard Oil Agent for 40 years.
Henry was a chartered member of the Courtenay Kinsmen, served as Commissioner for the Boy Scouts during the 1950s and was a long time member of the Comox Golf Club, still golfing at age 92!
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, travelling and his cabin at Upper Campbell Lake.
Predeceased by his wife Dorothy in 1993. Henry is survived by sons Ken (Jennifer) and Don (Bev) and grandchildren Mike, of Saskatoon and Shannon, of Frankfurt, Germany.
No service by request, however, there will be an Open House at 1812 Buena Vista Avenue, Comox on Tuesday, October 8th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish donations would be appreciated to the Salvation Army.
Dad was a memorable character and he will be sadly missed.
