Hiram G. Churchill

Hi was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and at the age of 8 traveled west by train to Vancouver with his younger brother Charlie to join his mother and siblings. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mavis on April 4, 2002 after 65 years of marriage. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Maureen (Malcolm) Morrison, his sons: Barry (Faye) Churchill and Lyall (Iris) Churchill, his grandchildren: Lorne (Sue) Morrison, Darryl and Laureli Morrison, Leah Churchill, Gina (David) Farrell, Broc Churchill and Rhonda (Rob Parker) Churchill. His Great Grandchildren: Greg, Lisa, Kate, Dawson, Olivia, Mariah, Maddisen, Lauren, Liam and Tienna. His Great Great Granddaughter Halle Mavis Anne.
Hi will be lovingly remembered by his sister Gertrude Crooks of Oceanside, California and his many nieces, nephews and friends. He started logging for Comox Logging in 1930 until a back injury forced him to quiet. He was then employed by School Dist. #71 as a Janitor of Tsolum School until his retirement. He spent many enjoyable hours in his huge vegetable garden, that he shared with his family. Dad was always there to lend a helping hand. We all loved him so much and now he can rest with Mom whom he missed terribly.
