Burton - Ida Olga, of Comox, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Thursday, March 14th, 2002 at age 71. Predeceased by her parents, Adrien and Matilda Delbrouck and her brother Paul, Ida is survived and will be dearly missed by her loving husband of nearly 49 years, Al; sons Keith of Surrey and James (Bonnie) of Coaldale, Alberta; her sister Louise (Fred) Greenhalgh of Saanichton; her brother Emile and her nieces and nephews.
She and Al moved to the Valley from Vancouver 11 years ago to retire, Ida loved to cook and spend time in her garden, raising flowers and vegetables., She will long be remembered for her exceptional “green thumb”. Funeral Services in Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, March 20th at 1:30 p.m. from the CHAPEL of COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD, followed by fellowship and refreshments in “The Garden Room” of the Funeral Home.
