October 9, 1932 - September 5, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce Irene passed away suddenly at home on September 5, 2018 with her husband John by her side.

Irene was born in Poland and came to Canada with her mother Wanda. She married John 61 years ago and they had 3 children.

Predeceased by her daughter Suzanne Ball (Lawrence, Philip, Melissa and Matthew). Irene will always be in our hearts and remembered by her husband John, daughter Debbie and son Steve (Wendy and Jason) and 6 great grandchildren, and best friend of over 50 years, Betty Annand. Irene was a member of both the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary and the Evergreen Seniors at the Filberg Centre for over 25 years. She knit hundreds of baby outfits for the hospital gift shop and worked on the cart. With the seniors, she took part in numerous drama productions and participated in the Seniors game. She didn't have many lines but the ones she did have always had the audience laughing. She also worked in the kitchen.

Squeek enjoyed bowling with the White Brothers, gardening, fishing and playing cards (many games lasted until wee hours of the morning). John and Irene picked salal with their best friends, Betty and Art Annand, which enabled them to take many memorable trips, their last one was driving across Canada.

Irene was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved animals and her last 2 dogs, Daisy and Clint were there when she passed.
