WALKER, Isabel (nee Parkin)
Born March 4,1918 to Isaac and Annie Parkin in Sandwick, BC and died peacefully in the Cumberland Care Centre on August 31, 2010.
Isabel was predeceased by her 8 siblings. She is survived by her son Arnold (Janet); 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren.
Isabel was raised in Headquarters and attended school in Tsolum. She spent many years in Vancouver eventually moving back to the Island. She loved music and dancing. Isabel was a resident of the Cumberland Care Centre for the past 15 years, she received excellent care and many thanks to the staff for the care and love they provided.
A Celebration of Isabel's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
