Jack (John) Frederick Pynn, died peacefully at his home with family at his side in Comox, BC on March 30, 2010 at the age of 82 after a recent diagnosis of cancer (Mesothelioma).

He was one of 6 children and was born on August 9, 1927 to the late Allan & Annie Pynn of Victoria, BC. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Lois, of 63 years and three children, Jacquie (Bob) Wright of Courtenay, John (Jean) Pynn of Victoria, and Gayle Pynn of Fort Langley, BC, his only surviving sibling, Betty Keane of Prince George, BC, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

An avid golfer, he has been a member of the Sunnydale Golf Club since 1971 and spent as much time as weather and his health permitted him to play a round of golf. He enjoyed boating & salt water fishing with family in his earlier years throughout the Gulf Islands and upper Straits.  He also enjoyed wood carving waterfowl and took great pride in his yard and gardening chores.

In lieu of flowers, consider donating to the Comox Valley Hospice or the Canadian Red Cross Societies. The family wishes to thank Dr. Bakshi, Comox Valley Home Care and nursing staff, and the Hospice Society for their support and caring services.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 17th at 2 p.m. at the Sunnydale Golf Club House in Courtenay. RSVP's would be appreciated by April 12th for catering purposes.
