March 15, 1959 - July 14, 2008
Jack Picard peacefully passed away on July 14, 2008 at the age of 49. Jack is survived by his three wonderful children, Christian Picard, Stephanie Picard (Dennis Cowan) and Courtney Picard. He leaves behind his parents, Aryl and Solange Picard as well as his brother Andre (Denise)and sister Julie (Yvon) and nephew Benjamin. Jack will be deeply missed by his partner and love Lori Carpenter and her daughter Kierra.
Jack was born in Rouyn-Noranda Quebec and has lived in many places around the world. Jack excelled at every sport he played. He loved hockey, baseball and his main passion was golf. He could always be found at Glacier Greens golf course with his buddies Bruce, Barry N., Barry H. Art, Wally, Leo, Ron, Bruce C. or one of his many other friends.
Jack was retired from the military (Master Corporal), but returned as a Reservist working as a Supply Technician with the Glider School, Regional Cadet Air Operations Canadian Forces Base Comox.
Jack loved golf, and was an outstanding scratch golfer. He always took the time to help his friends improve their game. Jack loved buying and selling golf clubs on eBay and getting great deals for all of his friends.
Jack and Lori loved their vacations together, especially their trip to Ottawa and Quebec last Christmas visiting all of Jack's family as well as their trip to Phoenix Arizona to see Leo and Trudy.
Jack was a very special man. He was always there to support his friends through their challanging times. Jack was a very generous man. Jack found great joy being with his 'Handsome Boy' - Rascal.
We love you Jack and miss you terribly.

A Celebration of Jack's life will be held Wednesday, July 23 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ballroom at Crown Isle. Donations, in lieu of flowers, could be made to a charity of your choice.
