September 26, 1944 - January 2, 2025

In loving memory ~

Jim passed away suddenly at his home in Courtenay on January 2, 2025.

He was predeceased by parents Stewart, Irene and brother Robert. Jim is survived by sons Jason (Myriam) and Jeff, grandsons Ethan and Davin, granddaughter Brielle, sisters Pat Dirk and Dianne (Bill) Campbell as well as former wife Audrey. Jim will be sadly missed by partner and companion of the last 17 years, Marilynn Crysler.

Jim moved to the Comox Valley in 1977 where he had a decades long career in real estate both selling and as co-owner of the Re/Max offices in Courtenay and Comox.

Jim was an avid sports enthusiast, playing fastball, flag football, squash and in later years mixed slo-pitch. But Jim's real passion was golf and he logged many miles on the local courses after retiring. The highlight of his last year was celebrating his 80th birthday with Jason, Myriam and Brielle in Maui which, of course, involved a number of rounds of golf on beautiful courses.

Jim was a man of integrity; he was honest, loyal, compassionate and full of common sense. He will be greatly missed.
