James F. (Fred) Ferguson 1918-2009
Fred passed away in St. Joseph's Hospital with his family by his side.
He is survived by his daughter Judy (Bill), sons Larry (Carol) and David (Jo and Schaefer), grandchildren Jennifer (Ryan) and Trevor and great-grandson Jordan. Fred also leaves his sister Catherine in Vancouver and nieces and nephews across Canada.
Fred was a veteran of the Second World War and the Korean War. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy, taking part in the fight for freedom during the Battlle of the Atlantic. His naval career took him from Victoria to Halifax, Quebec City and Ottawa and many ports of call far from our shores.
We wish to thank Doctor Fitzpatrick and Dr. Tinmouth, staff at Glacier View Lodge and dad's terrific neighbours Penny and Wayne Kelly.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Fred's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice if desired. There will be no service by his request.
