James Gordon “Jim”


James Gordon “Jim” of Black Creek, passed away peacefully in Victoria on Thursday, November 22nd, 2007, at age 59. Jim is survived and will be dearly missed by his family; wife Dora; daughter Sheri Graham (Colin) of Cumberland; granddaughter Emily; sister Marilyn Marsden (Tom) of Courtenay, brother Stephen Mould (Wendy) of Vancouver and sister Kathy Bouchard (Oliver) of Black Creek. He was past President and one of the founding members of Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue, one of the organizers of Comox Valley Snow to Surf, was active in regional concerns and issues and was a well-known member of the Vintage Car Club. Jim worked with the Department of Highways construction branch for 12 years, working on the Pat Bay Exchange, the Gold River Pulp Mill Road and the switchback on the bypass to Tofino. As well, he worked for Chinook RediMix and was a school bus driver and custodian for School District 72.

A Service of Remembrance in celebration of his life will be held on Monday, December 3rd, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation & Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Rd., Courtenay.
