James QUIGLEY

QUIGLEY - James of Comox, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on Tuesday, August 25th, 2009, aged 83.

Predeceased by his son Simon, Jim is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife, Felice, together in love for 55 years; his son Clive (Cindy) and granddaughter Amber.

Jim served as a Royal Marine during World War Two, sailing on the Rodney, supporting convoys to Russia. He was decorated for his service.

A man of many skills, he was a mariner, magistrate, coroner, hospital administrator, bank manager and school trustee. In his leisure, Jim enjoyed crosswords, old movies, an occasional trip to Reno, handwriting, at which he was excellent and working with numbers. As well, he was active with the d'Esterre Seniors Club in Comox.

He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, caring father and grandfather.

Private family cremation arrangements entrusted to Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road. Should friends wish, donations in Jim's memory to the SPCA, P.O. Box 1284, Comox, B.C. V9N 7Z8 or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
