Jean passed away peacefully, at the age of 77, at her home in Comox, British Columbia. She is predeceased by her parents William and Phyllis Talbot, husband Barry Whiteside, and sisters Judy Calvert and Lois Talbot.
She leaves behind her loving family of Blaine and Jeremy Calvert and many close friends. Jean was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and in her early 20's moved to Calgary, Alberta with her husband where they owned a couple of pet stores, but weather and retirement brought Jean out to the Comox Valley in 2005 after the passing of her husband.
Jean spent her free time exploring her hidden talent of cake decorating in the last 10 years of her life.
