July 11, 1935 – July 4, 2016
It with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Jean Lenting on July 4, 2016, in the Campbell River Hospital with her family by her side.
Jean was predeceased by her husband, John Lenting, her parents, Robert and Jean Logan, and her infant brother, Tommy.
Jean is survived by her brothers, Robert (Faye) Logan and family, Alan (Karen) Logan and family, and sister Betty (Doug) Macauley and family. Also left to mourn her passing are her four children, Ian (Leona), Lisa (Cal Dawson), Robert (Laurie), and Teresa (Terry Nishida), as well as her seven grandchildren Ashley (Kyle Wood), Jessica (George Amygdaletsis), Logan Nishida, Lauren Nishida, Trevor Armsworthy, Toni-Lee Thompson and Cass Williams. Jean also leaves behind great-grandsons Mason, Tristan, Darien and Julien, great-granddaughters Angelina, Alexis and Rylee, as well as a great-granddaughter due in October.
Jean was born and raised in Cumberland, B.C. Jean worked as a switchboard operator with B.C. Tel until her marriage to John in 1957.
Jean became a stay at home mom to her four children. She loved knitting, baking, playing bingo and going camping and fishing with her family. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson.
We would like to thank Dr. Sullivan and the third floor nurses for caring for our mom.
There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made a charity of your choosing.
